I lived in London years ago and have thought of myself as a “lapsed Londoner” ever since. But the years fly by and I realized that my knowledge of the place was getting obsolete. There’s an entire generation swilling wine in Covent Garden who may never have heard of the GLC!

So, what better way to revive an old friendship than to spend a few days in The Old Metrop while traveling from Seattle to Egypt?
