I published a ton of photos of South Puget Sound last year. Since we’re covering a lot of the same ground (er, “water”) this year, I’ll just post photos of a few things I found attractive or unusual.
From north to south…
This is what can happen when you fail to follow the marked channel, particularly at an exceptionally low tide. Assuming no serious damage, this guy will be high and dry for about three hours until the tide rises enough to float him off. Meanwhile he’ll be the subject of countless photos by boaters like us and passengers on the Bainbridge Island ferry.

Love reading about your adventures! Thanks for birthday wishes I now have 2 new cards to carry in wallet which do not give me the excellent insurance I once had. Where’s the justice? Life is good. Spend a lot of time with Steve in WA either at his place near Cathlamet playing in river and picking berries with deer watching or at beach house in Vaugh, swimming in the Sound. August is looking to be hot, ugh. Steve is in Alaska for the month so his river and the Sound aren’t readily available to me. Guess I could get productive and clean garage.., or not.
